Properties and uses of Viton Rubber Seals
Solid Viton Rubber Seals are of most use in the industrial applications where their high resistance to acids, alkalis, hydrocarbons and oxidants combined with good mechanical properties at temperatures up to and including 250°C are appreciated.
Areas of use for Viton Rubber Seals include;

Properties of Solid Viton Rubber include;
- Serviceable to 250 degrees C (intermittent 300 degrees C)
- Good flame resistance
- Resistant to Aliphatics, Hydrocarbons and Aromatic/Chlorinated chemicals
- Resistant to Acids
- Resistant to Alkalis
- Resistant to Oxygen
- Resistant to Ozone
- Resistant to Weather
- Good low temperature resistance -20 to -40 degrees C
- Poor performance to Ketones, Ethers and Bases.
