Butyl Rubber Seals

Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd manufacture Butyl Rubber Seals for a wide range of industries and applications and can be made in plain or self adhesive backed.

Butyl rubber Seals are manufactured from a copolymer of isobutylene and isoprene. They have exceptionally low gas and moisture permeability and offer outstanding resistance to heat aging, weather, ozone, chemical attack, flexing, abrasion and tearing.

Butyl Rubber Seals can be supplied in various formats including Punched parts and extruded butyl in strip or cord form. Butyl Rubber Seals

Butyl Seals are used in many applications requiring an airtight rubber. Butyl also has excellent resistance to acids and alkalis. Butyl functions well in temperatures ranging from -50°C to +120°C.

Butyl Rubber Seals are not recommended for use when in contact with petroleum oils or fluids.
