Properties of Silicone
Silicone rubber is a hard but flexible material that can be supplied in a range of hardness’s from 40º shore through to 60º shore, whereas silicone sponge is a relatively soft, closed cell flexible product which is presented with a skin finish on one or both sides and can be supplied in a vast range of densities from 200kg to 500kg.
The table below is a quick guide to show the various colours, roll sizes and thicknesses that these two materials can be manufactured in.
Silicone Rubber Roll Size – 1.2 mtrs x 10 mtrs
Silicone Sponge Roll Size – 1 mtr x 10 mtrs
Red Oxide, White, Black, Translucent
This material has many attributes including:
- UV resistant
- Ozone resistant
- +200c working temperature
- Available in flame retardant grade
- Available in food quality grade

Self adhesive backed Silicone
If you prefer, we can add a self-adhesive backing with peel-able liner to one or both sides of the finished product to assist with assembly of your product.
